Company Asset should strip fitter for last month’s reappearance 5.05 York

Considering Kevin Ryan’s filly didn’t come to herself until this time last year, she is entitled to improve plenty for her return at Carlisle 25 days ago, when she shaped well to finish fourth under topweight.

The daughter of Fast Company really thrived once she hit form last year, beating a subsequent winner on fast ground at Carlisle and running a blinder on her handicap debut at Doncaster, where she finished third in a field of 19 after racing away from the first two home. The winner was Nemoralia, who finished runner-up in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on her latest start.

Although Company Asset won’t reach those heights, it is early days for her off a mark of 80 on only her third handicap start, with the fast ground in her favour.
