Coeur De Lion bridges the gap to deny Forth
>>More than £8,000 was matched on Forth Bridge at the minimum 1.01 in running on Betfair when he jumped the last in front in the maiden hurdle at Wetherby, but the 3-1 chance was caught on the run-in by fast-finishing 9-4 favourite Coeur De Lion. The market leader traded at a high of 55.
>>Goodgirlteresa was backed to 11-4 from an opening 5-1 to win the bumper and it looked like the gamble would be landed when she skipped well clear entering the straight. However, after setting a strong pace, she tied up badly to disappoint backers who took a low of 1.06.
It was well-supported 7-4 favourite Petticoat Tails who finished best to defy a high of 14.5.
