Classy performer can give the weight away

Credit: Alan Crowhurst

No. 1
Bright New Dawn
1.15 Sandown
Back at 7-2 or biggerBright New Dawn is no spring chicked to be going for 56,000gns, but that's what connections paid to get him out of Gordon Elliott's yard in the summer.

He'll do well to repay that at the age of ten, but could go some way to doing so on his second start for Venetia Williams. His first was certainly very proimising as he travelled like the winner for a long way behind Garde La Victoire over course and distance four weeks ago.

That was a really encouraging effort and Bright New Dawn is entitled to come on for that first run since August so he must have a fair chance of giving the weight away.
