Class act can prove cut above the rest on return to action at Punchestown

River Wylde
1.50 Cheltenham
SP forecast 4-5

Talented six-year-old who stamped himself a high-class novice hurdler last season when landing a Grade 2 at Kempton before a top effort when third in the Supreme Novices' on his next run. Made a pleasing start over fences this month when cruising to a comfortable victory at Uttoxeter, but held a clear edge on ratings at the Staffordshire track and opposition here is of much higher calibre. Won his only start on soft.

Conclusion Getting 3lb from main rival North Hill Harvey here, although Dan Skelton's chaser sets a fair standard with his Cheltenham victory last month and soft ground is no problem for him either. Has a bit to prove to justify cramped odds.
