Cheltenham Placepot picks: Paul Kealy shuns Newmarket for a competitive card

Newmarket's card makes zero appeal for Placepot purposes, so it's off to Cheltenham where the racing is competitive and there's loads of form to go on.

Whatsupwithyou is thrown in at his best in the opener (1.30) and he goes in with Sizable Sam, who didn't take to chasing but is getting his act together back over hurdles.

Stolen Silver ought to go close back on better ground in the next (2.05), while Cheddleton is definitely worth another crack at around 2m4f.

In the third (2.40) Pull Again Green looked happy going from the front at Newbury last time and should make the first three in a race that doesn't look that deep.

Brother Pat and The Bull McCabe are my two in a tricky fourth leg (3.15) as both are perfectly at home on decent ground.

Kim Muir winner Chambard has to be taken on in the fifth (3.50) given Venetia Williams' poor form since Cheltenham.

Storm Control likes it here and can be forgiven his run on poor ground at Doncaster last time, while Undersupervision can handle any surface and looks the most solid of those at the front of the market.

The next (4.25) is the most difficult as Last Royal didn't beat much when a wide-margin winner last time.

I'm going with Tip Top Cat, who has more to come after a short break, Lisnagar Oscar, who is finally running in a race he can be competitive in, and Haul Away, who has had a winter break and will be happy on the ground.
