The strength in the market of some of Gordon Elliott's winners at last month's Cheltenham Festival was astonishing and that was very much the case with Shattered Love in the JLT Novices' Chase.

Despite not being given even one vote of confidence by 16 tipsters in the Racing Post selection box – amazingly runner-up Terrefort was selected 12 times, which made him the most popular horse of the meeting among the nation's tipsters, ahead of the likes of Buveur D'Air, Footpad and Altior – Shattered Love shortened from a morning 9-1 into 4-1 by the off and she never really looked in any danger from three out.
