Chelmsford Placepot picks: Richard Birch has three bankers in his perm

Maharajas Express showed plenty of speed to make a winning debut at Kempton last month. He looks a colt of some potential and should have little difficulty outclassing his rivals in the 6f novice stakes (5.30), the opening leg of the Chelmsford Placepot.
Evolicatt, winner of a similar event at Redcar two starts ago, looks the answer to the 7f claimer (6.00).
In the 7f maiden (6.30), focus on Roger Varian's Bonkersinabundanceand the Richard Spencer-trained Giant, a colt who shaped promisingly on his debut at Newmarket in October.
Maysongran well to finish second to the unbeaten and highly progressive Hickory at Kempton last Wednesday. He makes plenty of appeal off the same mark in the 7f handicap (7.00), with course-and-distance scorer Windseekeralso included.
Thomas Equinascould run well at decent odds in the 6f handicap (7.30), a comment which also applies to , placed in four of his last five starts.
Weydaad, who represents the in-form stable of Stuart Williams, belied odds of 80-1 with a promising first run at Kempton this month. Granted normal improvement, she should prove hard to beat in the 6f maiden (8.00).
