Chelmsford Placepot picks: Graeme Rodway's selections for a £100,000 pool

The Tote will be putting up a £100,000 guaranteed pool at Chelmsford for the Placepot and there should be plenty of interest in the bet at the evening fixture.

The opening 1m2f nursery (5.30) looks a tight race and two will be needed. Consistent pair Pink Lily and Mirabello Bay might be vulnerable to improvers but they should be placed.

The 7f novice (6.00) looks a golden opportunity for Perdika, who rates banker material.

In the other 7f novice (6.30) Colombidea has the best form on offer. However, she is exposed and it is also worth including the once-raced One For The Frog.

Myriad is one of my stronger fancies on the card and rates a banker in the 1m6f handicap (7.00). It should be difficult to keep him out of the first three provided all eight line up.

The 6f handicap (7.30) is another open contest. Gabrial The Devil has a good record at Chester and is suited by turning tracks, but it is also worth putting Romantic Time into the perm.

Take Lady Eros and Painless Potter in the last leg, the mile handicap (8.00).
