Willie Mullins has used the mares' maiden hurdle to launch the careers in recent years of the likes of Laurina. He won this year's race with the impressive Dolcita, but those behind her have some promise too, including this daughter of Ask.

She had been second on her sole point-to-point at Inch in the spring and was sold afterwards for the comparatively modest sum of £50,000 at the Cheltenham sales. There was plenty to like about her debut track performance. She was beginning to stay on from mid-division when she made a mistake two out and another mistake at the last interrupted her momentum too, but she kept going to finish fourth, beaten 17 lengths.
