Chase debutant makes appeal first time up for in-form handler

Credit: Alan Crowhurst

Rhaegar
2.55 Southwell
1pt win at 5-1 generallyRhaegar looked quite promising early last season, showing a gutsy attitude to get up and dead-heat in a novice hurdle at Chepstow, and it might be worth chancing him on his first run after a wind operation.

He did lose the plot in the second half of the campaign, but as well as showing up encouragingly early last term he also won first time out in a bumper, so this might be the time to catch him.

He has been kept away from good ground so far, but being a Milan half-brother to Stellar Notion there's every chance he will make a staying chaser on a decent surface.
