Browning times it right as pace collapses

vvTurret Rocks and Pocketfullofdreams appeared to cut each others' throats in the filly and mare Group 2 at the Curragh and set it up for Elizabeth Browning to swoop from the rear to win going away after trading at 50.

vvHotpot Peace And Co might well have sulked when not able to get the lead in the novice chase at Southwell and, despite trading at 1.43 on Betfair, he went out tamely to finish third of the four runners.

vvTriolet, another odds-on shot, was backed down to 1.17 in the novice hurdle at Perth, but found a lot less than looked likely and was well held at the line.
