Beverley Placepot picks: Tom Collins has three bankers in his afternoon perm

Getting through the opening two-year-old claimer (1.45) may be the trickiest part for Beverley Placepot punters as there is very little solid form among the eight inexperienced runners.

The Mick Channon-trained Flash Betty sets the standard on RPRs and has to be selected. All In Aladdin, who may improve for a recent wind op, is chosen as back-up.

Karen Tutty has the first of two good chances on the card in division one of the 7f handicap (2.20) with Tangled. The five-time winner was impressive at Carlisle last time and should relish the slight drop in trip. He's not ideally treated under a penalty but is clearly in good form.

I want to oppose Midnite Bride in leg three (2.50) as she appears better over shorter trips. Instead, I'll side with King Of Tonga, Gulf Of Poets and John Clare, who all have the back form to beat the market leader.

Hugo Palmer's trip north should be rewarded when Dancing To Win lines up in the novice event (3.20), while the Tutty-trained Little Jo and Rains Of Castamere give you a strong grip on the penultimate leg (3.50).

Another banker finishes the perm as the hat-trick-seeking Casilli looks extremely hard to oppose in the 1m2f handicap (4.20) given she has form at the track, on the ground and over the trip this season.
