Better effort last time suggests well-handicapped stayer can get back on track

Mick The Jiver improved into a very decent staying chaser last season, culminating with an easy victory in a Grade B novice handicap chase at Navan. As a result he had a handicap mark of 130.

This season has been more of a struggle but he showed a lot more in a high-class handicap chase at Gowran last time and if that presaged a return to form, then Mick The Jiver is thrown in back over hurdles off a mark of 98.
