Better drawn Can't Change It looks good bet at 14-1

David Simcock has a good chance of winning the Doom Bar Celebration Mile at Goodwood (4.20) with Lightning Spear but he might have an even better chance of winning the big handicap of the day with Can’t Change It.

The Goodwood Revival Stakes (3.20) is tricky, as is always the case in a big field over 7f at Goodwood, and Can’t Change It is going to need loads of luck from stall one, but there are lots of front-runners in the line-up so, hopefully there will be more space for those coming from behind.

Can’t Change It was an easy winner of a good race over course and distance at the start of the season and ran just as well in the Betfred Mile here last time. On that occasion he was drawn on the outside and barely came off the bridle as he got trapped behind a wall of horses. The same might happen again and Tom Queally is going to have to hope the gaps appear but, if they do, Can’t Change It is on a mark he can win off and at 14-1 he is well worth backing.
