Be Brave and bank on wonderful Wicklow at Tipperary

The Arc takes centre stage at Longchamp but there is also some cracking action at Tipperary, where there is already a rollover of €62,472 in the Pick 6 pool.

The Grade 3 Horse & Jockey Hotel Hurdle (3.15) is a fascinating affair with Tombstone and Arctic Fire sure to be popular with punters, but they will need to be on their best behaviour to trouble Wicklow Brave, who has looked as enthusiastic as ever of late.

His latest wide-margin success at Listowel does not amount to much as he was 1-16, but the way he whizzed around there told us that he still retains as much enthusiasm for the game as he ever did and his rating of 159 suggests he will be a very tough nut to crack.

Paul Townend must have done a bit of head-scratching before picking Quick Grabim in the Grade 3 Joe Mac Novice Hurdle (3.45), but he looks to have made the correct call as his mount was very impressive when winning a maiden hurdle at Listowel last time. He looks banker material.
