Barbados finished just half a length in front of Nayef Road when the pair were second and third in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot, but Sporting feel confident he is going to extend that advantage in the Bahrain Trophy (1.50) at Newmarket.

He might well do as he has made fair jumps in terms of form on his last two starts, but that latest effort came on soft ground and it will be interesting to see if he is just as effective on much quicker, having just won a weak maiden on good to firm.
