Bank on Beckford to fly home in the Phoenix Stakes

The Group 1 Phoenix Stakes (3.35) is the dish of the day at the Curragh and the 6f contest could represent the most straightforward of puzzles to work out for punters chasing the Pick 6 pot.

Gordon Elliott is not used to dining at the top table on the Flat but his unbeaten Beckford looks to be a top drawer colt and he sets the standard in the Sunday showpiece.

The following Group 3 Phoenix Sprint (4.10) does not look as easy and many will be of the opinion that Washington DC ought to take advantage of this drop in class. Eddie Lynam's Moviesta and the Fozzy Stack-trained Son Of Rest are worth including in what looks an open sprint.
