Bangor Placepot tips: Robbie Wilders examines the jumps card

With small fields the order of the day, let's try the Placepot at Bangor which at least has three races with eight or more runners.

Lelantosis the pick in the opening 2m7f conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle (1.45). He might be progressive enough to overcome a 3lb rise for his course-and-distance victory last time.

Masked Matgil gets the vote in the following mares' maiden hurdle (2.15). She looked a useful prospect when winning a bumper at Uttoxeter and meets rivals who have shown only limited ability over hurdles.

Flying Verse bounced back to form when second at Stratford last month and has sound claims of finishing in the first two in the 3m handicap chase (2.45).

Yccs Portocervo looks worth chancing in the 2m4½f handicap chase (3.15). He might have needed his return from a small break last month and can bounce back.

There are nine runners in the 2m½f handicap hurdle (3.45) so we'll go with two. Faro, who outran his odds when a fair second here last time, and Norley, who can improve for his recent return, are the picks.

Bridge Road is open to further improvement and can go well in the 2m3½f handicap hurdle (4.20). He keeps running well in defeat and can finish in the first three.
