Bahkit pays handsomely for anyone who backed it

Outsider of the field Bahkit traded at 250 (£10 matched) on Betfair before making a winning handicap debut in the 1m2f contest at Ripon.

Bo Selecta's steady run in the 7f handicap at Southwell appeared as though it was going to pay off and he traded at 1.04. However, leader Noble Ballad, who went out to 170 when his rival drew alongside, found extra to land the spoils.

Jim Rockford, who was beaten six lengths by the eased-down Royal Diplomat in the novice stakes at Southwell, was backed at a low-looking 1.8. On the other side of the coin, Seprani was done at a surprisingly high 85 on her way to winning the 6f handicap at Epsom under Josephine Gordon.
