Quality mixed cards are a comparative rarity these days, so it's certainly good to see one at Killarney tonight for the second day of the August festival.

It is hoped there is some value to be had in the two Flat handicaps, which are probably the best races on which to concentrate, and cases can be made for quite a few in the Dunloe Hotel Handicap (5.50) with plenty coming into the race in relatively decent form.

Topweight Kubali sets the standard and Colin Keane can be expected to try to take advantage of the inside draw, but there may be one or two better handicapped in the race.
