For the second time in recent races Angel’s Hideaway was hampered next to a rail, this time at York when last in the Lowther following her seven-length second to Pretty Pollyanna on Newmarket’s July course. She won at Ascot in between those two efforts and ran well there in the Albany, but is beginning to look below the top grade.

Fairyland got it on the nod over The Mackem Bullet in the Lowther, but while that race is historically hugely significant, it didn’t look a high quality renewal.
