Kind Of Blue (2.05 Ascot)

Kind Of Blue's run-up to the British Champions Sprint has mirrored his before last year's success, and he can take the Group 1 sprint again. The James Fanshawe-trained four-year-old has been slowly coming back to his best, and took a big step back in the right direction when second in the Sprint Cup last month. He goes on all types of ground and is drawn just one stall higher in 18 than for his win 12 months ago.

Wemightakedlongway (2.45 Ascot)

This filly has been one of the better three-year-olds this year and looks overpriced in the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes. Trained by Joseph O'Brien, she was a Group 3 winner in the spring and has been steadily progressing since, including running Minnie Hauk close in the Irish Oaks. She was an eyecatcher when a fast-finishing fourth in the Prix de l'Opera and will appreciate going back up in trip.

Never So Brave (3.25 Ascot)

This Andrew Balding-trained star can cap off his brilliant season by taking the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. The four-year-old has rapidly risen through the ranks, winning in handicap company at Royal Ascot before taking the Summer Mile here. He then struck at the highest level for the first time in the City of York Stakes, with the form boosted by Prix de la Foret winner Maranoa Charlie. He was ahead of Rosallion that day and with questions surrounding Field Of Gold, he has a rock-solid profile.
