Hidden Heroics (3.50 Market Rasen)

Tristan Durrell’s claim means that Hidden Heroics is 6lb better off than his last victory, which came on summer ground at Stratford last June. The Dan Skelton-trained eight-year-old has finished no better than fourth since but those four races have been stronger than this. He finished a place behind stablemate Riskintheground, who went on to win at Ayr and Cheltenham, at Huntingdon in March and this could be a going day.

Don Virginia (5.30 Hereford)

Beaten only a neck over course and distance last time when he finished ahead of Rock On Cowboy, who beat £350,000 buy Buckna when winning at Warwick on his next start. Don Virginia finished a place ahead of another subsequent maiden hurdle winner last October, so clearly has the ability to strike in novice company. This looks a winnable race. 

The Gypsy Davey (6.40 Hereford)

The seven-year-old is 5lb better off than when successful at this track and trip last time due to Cheltenham Festival-winning rider Barry Stone’s claim. Stone, who won the Kim Muir on Daily Present, makes the journey solely to  ride The Gypsy Davey and his mount should make it worthwhile.
