16-1 Jailawi has huge chance despsite outside draw

Found is a brilliant filly - as she showed when beating Golden Horn in the Breeders’ Cup Turf last season - and she was a bit unlucky not to win the Prince of Wales’s at Royal Ascot when we last saw her in June. However, there are a few doubts about her in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks (3.40) at York and her stablemate Seventh Heaven looks well worth backing to beat her, with Aidan O’Brien already getting in excuses for Found yesterday.

Bar a blip on soft ground at Epsom, Seventh Heaven has also proved herself a top-class filly. The key to her much-improved performance in the Irish Oaks last time were the faster ground and the flatter track at the Curragh - and today’s conditions should be ideal again.

I thought she would be favourite today, because the way she scythed through the field in Ireland strongly suggested she was out of the top drawer. At 9-2 she looks the bet of the day.
