Written Tycoon, who currently lies ninth in the Australian sires' table by prize-money, has seen his stud fee almost double to A$88,000 (£54,000/€62,900) for the 2017 breeding season.

The 14-year-old son of Iglesia had a number of high-profile performers last year headed by his son Capitalist, who landed the world's richest two-year-old race when he won the Golden Slipper at Rosehill.

Music Magnate, a gelding, won the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 while Tycoon Tara, a filly, won multiple Group races including the Group 2 Golden Pendant at Rosehill.

Written Tycoon stands alongside his son Rich Enuff and Zoustar at the Victorian stud, with the former standing his first season at a fee of A$13,750.

The Woodside Park resident commanded a fee of A$49,500 last year, having started out his stud career at a fee of A$8,250.
