War Command to shuttle to Haras Vacacion
Precocious son of War Front will stand alongside Hurricane Cat
Argentinian breeders will soon have access to a precocious son of War Front, with War Command set to shuttle to Haras Vacacion in the South American country for the 2017 breeding season.
Bred by Joseph Allen, War Command is a half-brother to French Group 3 scorer Naval Officer, out of the Red Ransom mare Wandering Star, winner of the Grade 2 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine.
Owned by Allen and the Coolmore partners and trained by Aidan O'Brien, War Command was a top-class juvenile winning four of his five starts at two, picking up the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, before finding Sudirman and Big Time too good in the Phoenix Stakes.
Improving for the step back up to seven furlongs, War Command won both the Group 2 Futurity Stakes back at the Curragh and the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. He raced three times at three - his best run when fourth to Kingman in the St James's Palace Stakes at the Royal meeting.
The six-year-old will stand alongside Hurricane Cat and fellow Royal Ascot scorer Remote at Vacacion, while his stud fee has yet to be announced.
