Upwardly mobile Curiosity added to inaugural Goodwood Sale catalogue
Progressive three-year-old handicapper Curiosity has been added to the inaugural Goffs UK Goodwood Sale catalogue. The boutique auction will take place after racing on the Wednesday of the Glorious Goodwood meeting on August 1.
The Hugo Palmer-trained son of High Chaparral won twice at two and has finished second on his three starts this season, including when behind Ostilio in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Over the course of his three runs at three his official mark has risen from 88 to 99, and he produced a career-best Racing Post Rating of 103 when runner-up in a competitive Newmarket handicap over a mile on his most recent outing.
He is a half-brother to two winners and his dam, the Green Desert mare Precautionary, is closely related to King's Stand Stakes winner Prohibit. He also has a provisional Hong Kong rating of 78.
Other Goodwood Sale entries include:
- Belle Vale, a Cape Cross half-sister to St Leger candidate and Listed winner Mildenberger offered in foal to Bobby's Kitten and with a Brazen Beau colt foal at foot;
- Cosmelli, a seven-time winner who was last seen landing the Northumberland Vase Handicap. He is offered with entries in the Qatar Goodwood Festival’s Summer Handicap, German St Leger and the £500,000 SkyBet Ebor Handicap;
- Learned Friend, the dam of three-time Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Inns Of Court. The 11-year-old daughter of Seeking The Gold will be offered in foal to Dark Angel.
More Goodwood Sale entries are due to be announced in the coming days.
