Tattersalls Ireland is set to break new ground on Tuesday as the auction house stages the first yearling sale to be held in the shadow of Ascot racecourse, with 126 lots due to come under the hammer from 11.30am.
The auction, which is supported by a two-year-old sales race with a prize fund of £150,000, has a focus on forward, athletic types and will offer the progeny of a range of both established and young sires.
Among the proven sires with yearlings due to appear at the Ascot Yearling Sale are Oasis Dream, Helmet, Zebedee, Dandy Man and Equiano, while lots by first-crop sires such as Gale Force Ten, Heeraat, Garswood, Bungle Inthejungle and Alhebayeb will also be on offer.
There are also plenty of familiar names on the list of vendors due to be selling, including Chasemore Farm, Houghton Bloodstock, Llety Farms, Mickley Stud, Rathasker Stud and Trickledown Stud.
