Owing to the ongoing challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic this year's Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale has been relocated to Park Paddocks in Newmarket.

The auction will be held on its original date of Tuesday, September 8 and all lots will be offered subject to the Tattersalls conditions of sale. The auction will be conducted in guineas.

Matthew Prior, head of Tattersalls Ascot sales, said: "With yearling inspections ongoing it was important to be able to provide our vendors with some clarity and a clear road map in what has been a period of uncertainty.

"By moving the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale to our headquarters at Park Paddocks we are in a position to do so."

The Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale has enjoyed some headline results since its inception in 2017.

Graduates who shone on the track last year include the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy winner and Middle Park Stakes third Summer Sands, Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte scorer Shadn, the Listed-winning fillies Flaming Princess and Flippa The Strippa as well as Bettys Hope, who landed the £250,000 Weatherbys Super Sprint.

All Lots will be eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes held at Newmarket's Rowley Mile Racecourse.
