Strath Burn's first arrival is a filly foal
Son of Equiano stands at Bridge House Stud
Group 3-winning sprinter Strath Burn is the latest stallion to have his first foal on the ground.
The new arrival, a bay filly, was born at the weekend and is out of the winning Footstepsinthesand mare Flip Flop and is from the family of Graded winners Century City and Speaking Of Which. She was bred by Tirnaskea Stud.
Micheal Orlandi of Compass Stallions said: "She's a lovely rangy bay fill foal who is full of quality and substance."
Trained by Robert Cowell, the son of Equiano landed the Hackwood Stakes at three and then went on to finish second the Haydock Sprint Cup. Strath Burn will stand the upcoming breeding season at a fee of €4,000 at Bridge House Stud in County Westmeath.
