Stan Cosgrove retires as director of Goffs
Renowned veterinary surgeon had given over 40 years of service
Stan Cosgrove has retired from the board of Robert J Goff and Co, the parent company of Goffs, after over 40 years of service.
The renowned veterinary surgeon and former manager of Moyglare Stud served as director of the Goffs parent board - representing the interests of the Haefner family - since the company became a public limited company and moved to Kildare Paddocks in 1975.
"Stan has been a stalwart of the Goffs board for many years and his advice, wisdom and industry insight has been invaluable to the company during some of the most important decades in its history," said Eimear Mulhern, chairman of Goffs, at a presentation to Cosgrove following this week's end of year board meeting.
"On behalf of the shareholders and board members, past and present, I would like to thank Stan for his commitment to Goffs and wish him the very best on his retirement.
"We will certainly miss both his knowledge and his unfailing humour but look forward to seeing him at Goffs sales."
