Significant fee increase for sensational Snitzel
Arrowfield Stud issues its prices for 2017 breeding season
Arrowfield Stud in Australia has dealt its red-hot sire Snitzel a hefty fee increase for this year's southern hemisphere breeding season.
The Redoute's Choice stallion – second only to Street Cry, source of the brilliant Winx, in the Australian sires' championship – is up to a fee of A$176,000 (£107,000/€124,800) from A$110,000 in 2016.
Snitzel is the sire of this month's Inglis Sires' hero Invader plus fellow Group 1 winners this season Heavenly Blue, Russian Revolution and Summer Passage.
Redoute's Choice, a growing influence with stallion sons around the world, is the subject of a fee increase of his own, up to A$137,500 (£83,400/€97,500) from A$110,000.
Another successful Redoute's Choice son on the Arrowfield roster, Not A Single Doubt, is also up in price to A$88,000 (£53,400/€62,400) from A$71,500.
He is the sire of 2016/17 season Group 1 winners Extreme Choice and Scales Of Justice, while son Gunnison defeated Invader to land the Group 2 Todman Stakes last month.
Mikki Isle, a dual Grade 1-winning miler in Japan by Deep Impact, is also new to the stud and his debut price has been set at A$13,750 (£8,300/€9,750).
