A lifetime breeding right to the Group 1-producing stallion Showcasing will form part of the catalogue at the inaugural Goffs UK Goodwood Sale next Wednesday, it was announced on Monday.

The Whitsbury Manor Stud-based sire has been responsible for the Sprint Cup and Commonwealth Cup winner Quiet Reflection and the elite level placegetter Tasleet, while his credentials have been advertised again recently by the commanding July Stakes winner Advertise.

Whitsbury Manor Stud's Ed Harper said: “Showcasing’s last three covering seasons have seen a remarkable increase in the quality of his mares, which is very exciting for his future and we were fortunate to be able to secure his home at Whitsbury so that he no longer shuttles to the southern hemisphere.

"There have been no additional breeding rights sold in Showcasing since his first season at stud, so this is certainly a rare opportunity to get involved, especially given his progeny are doing so well on tracks around the world.”

The Goodwood Sale, which will take place after racing on August 1, will include select horses-in-training and further breeding opportunities. Among lots already confirmed is the Cape Cross mare Belle Vale, a half-sister to Mildenberger who will be offered in foal to Bobby's Kitten and with a Brazen Beau foal at foot.
