Cristalino: well-related Fastnet Rock filly sold to Tally-Ho StudCredit: Tattersalls Online

The well-related Cristalino topped the Tattersalls Online August Sale on Wednesday when selling to Tally-Ho Stud for 80,000gns.

Offered by Amo Racing, the three-year-old had placed third on her second start at Kempton last summer for Kevin Philippart De Foy. She has not troubled the judge in six starts since but has the pedigree to hugely appeal as a broodmare prospect.

Amy Drummond, head of operations at Amo Racing, said: "The filly retained value to us with her pedigree but she wasn’t quite what we hoped for on the track so we’re delighted that she’s gone to Tally-Ho, who also stand Persian Force and King Of Steel for us."

The placed daughter of leading broodmare sire Fastnet Rock is a sister to Group 2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein winner Poker Face, runner-up to Romantic Warrior in this year's Jebel Hatta. Cristalino is also a sister to the Graded-placed Star Devine, while their Galileo dam is a winning half-sister to 1,000 Guineas, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks heroine Stars At Night.

Cristalino was bred by Rockhart Trading Ltd and had sold to Ben McElroy for 200,000gns at Tattersalls Book 2 on behalf of Amo Racing in 2023.

Winning Churchill colt Chartwell Jock was another popular lot, selling to Simon Smode for 43,000gns moments before Cristalino. The three-year-old won on his third start at Wolverhampton for Andrew Balding in January and has since placed in Class 3 handicaps at Doncaster and Ascot this spring.

The next Tattersalls Online Sale takes place from September 16-17.
