Grade 1–winning mare Stormy Lucy topped the Fasig–Tipton July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale on Monday when selling to SF Bloodstock for $575,000 in a private transaction, after originally departing the Lexington sales ring unsold at $650,000.

Taylor Made's Leif Aaron said once the seven–year–old daughter of Stormy Atlantic owned by Ed Moger jnr left the ring unsold, the consignor was contacted by several interested parties that resulted in the sale to SF Bloodstock, represented by Tom Ryan.

Stormy Lucy has won three graded stakes, including the 2015 Matriarch Stakes, and has been placed second or third in nine other graded stakes.
