Siblings to Ardad and My Dream Boat in Doncaster breeze-up
Catalogue comprising 152 two-year-old lots published
The catalogue for the Goffs UK Breeze-up Sale - source of four Royal Ascot winners last year - has been published online.
The auction takes place at the Goffs UK complex in Doncaster on April 12, with the two-year-olds being put under their paces at the nearby racecourse on the day before.
Last year's sale was topped by two Kodiac colts at £170,000 each - Ardad, who went on to win the Windsor Castle Stakes, and Prince Of Lir, who scored in the Norfolk Stakes.
The Goffs UK breeze-up four-timer was completed by Quiet Reflection, a £44,000 graduate, in the Commonwealth Cup, and My Dream Boat, sourced for £40,000, in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
The catalogue for this year's sale comprises 152 two-year-olds and includes a Society Rock half-sister to Ardad and an Elnadim half-brother to My Dream Boat.
Goffs UK managing director Tony Williams said: “This is the 40th year of the Doncaster Breeze-up Sale and in that time it’s had some tremendous years to remember and 2016 was certainly one of them.
"For a sale that offers only around 160 horses annually, to produce four Royal Ascot winners in one year is a huge achievement.
“We have been well supported by the breeze-up consignors and have assembled what is a quality catalogue of two-year-olds. On the back of that support, and the results this sale achieved in 2016, we have travelled extensively in Asia, the Middle East and throughout Europe in the last weeks promoting this sale, which with its results, has established itself as a destination for buyers globally.”
