Racing gems to be found at September Yearling Sale
Ascot scorer Tigre Du Terre emerged from last year's auction
Buyers looking to unearth talent at this year's Osarus La Teste September Sale will be encouraged by Tigre Du Terre's explosive four and a half length victory in a novice stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The two-year-old Le Havre colt was picked up by Mandore International Agency and Peter and Ross Doyle for €55,000 from the Haras de l'Hotellerie draft at last year's renewal.
Previous graduates of the auction include Group 3 winner Cavale Doree and the Group 2-placed Apilobar, as well as Royal Ascot scorer Suits You and dual French Champion Hurdle winner Gemix.
Haras de Grandcamp will offer a colt (Lot 226) by first-season sire Dabirsim, who has already supplied nine two-year-old winners from his first crop, while Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard offer a half-brother (34) to Group 2 scorer Al Wathina by Wootton Bassett, sire of last year's European champion Almanzor.
Rajsaman, sire of this year's dual Classic winner and Arc hopeful Brametot, is well represented with 13 lots set to go under the hammer.
The sale takes place on September 6-7 at La Teste de Buch racecourse, with 271 yearlings catalogued to go through the ring.
