Pair of colts head first day of October Yearling Sale

Zagora began her storied racing career with Jean-Claude Rouget and it is a short price that France's Champion trainer elect with be entrusted with Thursday's joint session topper at the Arqana October Yearling Sale, her €260,000 half-brother by Dansili.

Rouget stood next to Mandore Agency's Nicolas de Watrigant, who secured the Haras des Capucines consigned colt on behalf of Al Shaqab Racing.

"His sister was a champion and I adored the colt," said de Watrigant.

"He looks a real racehorse but of course being by Dansili, he could be a stallion prospect in time if things work out well. We already have Zagora's own two-year-old colt by Frankel in training. But more than the pedigree it is the horse himself that I like."
