Pair of Euro 80,000 lots share top honours on day one
An expanded catalogue saw the median and average hold steady
French table-topping sire Le Havre and first-crop stallion George Vancouver shared the limelight on day one of the Osarus Yearling September Sale, with the joint-top lots being knocked down for €80,000.
Le Havre's season has been marked by dual Classic heroine La Cressonniere and Haras de la Cauviniere's mainstay was responsible for the first €80,000 lot of the day, a filly out of Spanish Classic winner Golding Star offered by Charles Briere's Fairway Consignment.
Laurent Benoit of the Broadhurst Agency signed for the filly -already named Positive - whose second dam, Lencloitre, won the Listed Criterium de Lyon at two.
