Magic Millions has unveiled the highly anticipated catalogues for Books 1 and 2 of its 2018 Gold Coast Yearling Sale, that takes place over five days from January 10.

The five sessions will see the progeny of 103 different stallions represented, with the four-day Book 1 comprised of 853 lots and the single session Book 2 made up of 209 yearlings.

Arrowfield Stud's record-breaking sire Snitzel, who equalled Danehill's seasonal record of 26 Australian stakes winners in 2016/17 as well as setting a new high mark for earnings and two-year-old winners, with A$16.2 million in prize-money banked and 35 juvenile winners, boasts a strong representation, with 47 yearlings catalogued.

Among that number are a filly out of dual Group 1 winner Response (Lot 235); a colt who is closely related to Arrowfield resident Panzer Division out of Chilean champion filly Desert Fight (659); and a filly out of champion female sprinter Samaready (269).

Snitzel's breed-shaping sire Redoute's Choice has 18 catalogued lots, including colts out of Australasian Oaks winner Invest (832) and Traceability, an unraced half-sister to Group 1 winners Master Of Design and Suntagonal (398).

The main European representation at the flagship auction comes from the likes of shuttle stallions Olympic Glory, Toronado and Zoffany, while Prix Morny winner The Wow Signal also has a solitary lot on offer.

Another stallion with a sole catalogued representative is Sea The Stars, with the colt set to be offered by emerging force Newgate Farm the first foal out of Dubawi's Oakleigh Plate winner Shamal Wind (292).

"We would like to thank breeders and vendors for their continued and incredible support," said Magic Millions managing director Vin Cox, who will take charge of Godolphin Australia once the Gold Coast sale has concluded. "With the outstanding quality of this catalogue we will be able to attract a market that will repay their confidence in Magic Millions.

"The 2018 catalogue has great depth and it is sure to unearth many future racetrack stars - like recent Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduates Redzel, Ace High and the legendary mare Winx."
