Group 1 winner Miss Beatrix added to London Sale catalogue
Group 1 winner Miss Beatrix, in foal to the 2015 champion sprinter Muhaarar, will be offered for sale at this year's Goffs London Sale.
The daughter of Danehill Dancer won the Moyglare Stud Stakes and Goffs Million in 2006 and is carrying a full sibling to the Muhaarar colt that sold for €340,000 at last year's Goffs November Foal Sale.
Miss Beatrix is the second mare to be catalogued for the sale on the eve of Royal Ascot, following confirmation this week of Landikusic, the own sister to Zoffany in foal to Frankel.
Henry Beeby, group chief executive of Goffs, said: "We are delighted to offer Miss Beatrix in London this year and are very grateful to her owner Bill Durkan.
"Miss Beatrix has a long and successful association with Goffs having won the first Goffs Million back in 2006, while her foals have sold exceptionally well here, the two most recent at Goffs selling for €340,000 and €370,000. It is particularly exciting that she is back in foal to Muhaarar."
Pat Gilson from Ballintougher Stud, who will consign the mare on behalf of the owner, added: "Miss Beatrix is a lovely looking mare, but what excites me the most is the future Muhaarar she is carrying.
"Her last foal was a Muhaarar and he was a particularly impressive looking foal, which was reflected by the price he fetched at the Goffs Foal Sale back in November."
