Lot 208

Pedigree: Galileo x Shastye (Danehill)
Sex: Colt
Consignor: Newsells Park Stud

The Hertfordshire operation, who sold a Galileo filly for 800,000gns on Tuesday, is set to send another strong draft under the hammer in Newmarket on Wednesday, with this Galileo colt looking a particular standout.

The progeny of Coolmore's perennial champion sire and Shastye have worked a treat for Newsells before, most notably in 2013, when they sold the record-priced yearling colt in Europe, Sir Issac Newton, for 3.6 million guineas.

This colt is a brother to the subsequent Group 3 winner, and to another ultra tough performer in the shape of Group 2 scorer Secret Gesture, and he looks certain to steal the limelight when he enters the famous sales ring.

Lot 246

Kingman x Starfish (Galileo)
Colt
Manister House Stud

Arguably the best miler sired by Invincible Spirit, fans of Kingman have been treated to seeing his first crop being sold at the yearling sales this year. His early offerings have already been well recieved, and that momentum looks set to continue on Wednesday with Manister House Stud offering a well-related colt by the sire.

The colt boasts a classy pedigree as he is out of the Galileo mare Starfish, who in turn is already the dam of dual Group 1 heroine La Collina. With a perfect blend of speed and stamina in his pedigree, this colt can provide Manister House with another great result, having also sold Albacore in Newmarket for 425,000gns in 2015.

Lot 188

Showcasing x Sacre Coeur (Compton Place)
Filly
Whitsbury Manor Stud

There could not have been a better time for Showcasing to have Quiet Reflection return to the track, and her dominant display will doubtless have reminded buyers of the talent the Whitsbury Manor Stud resident can impart.

A half-sister to hardy Group 2 winner Stepper Point, this filly has recieved a significant update as under her second dam is this year's Queen Mary Stakes heroine Heartache, who has added the Flying Childers to her CV since the catalogue's publication.

Lot 299

Kingman x Whirly Bird (Nashwan)
Filly
Woodcote Stud

The breeders of St Leger winner Kingston Hill have one lot catalogued in this year's sale in the shape of this Kingman filly. She is a half-sister to the Group 3 scorer Malabar and to Poet's Word, who has progressed through the ranks this season.

Last seen finishing second in the Irish Champion Stakes, Poet's Word's form has given this filly's page a timely and significant update.

Lot 337

Australia x Another Storm (Gone West)
Colt
Clare Castle Stud

There are not enough superlatives to describe the colts who retired to stud in 2015 and Australia was a member of that outstanding bunch. Out of an Oaks winner in Ouija Board, his finest hours came when winning the Derby, Irish Derby and Juddmonte International.

Clare Castle Stud's colt will be the last lot through the ring on Wednesday evening and there's sure to be plenty of people on site when he goes under the hammer. He is a three-parts brother to mutliple Group 1 winner Order Of St George, who was last seen finishing fourth to Enable in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
