A filly from the last Irish-bred crop of High Chaparral topped the Goresbridge July Sale on Friday when bought by Emerald Bloodstock for €8,000.

Bred and offered by Diomed Bloodstock, the two-year-old filly is the tenth foal out Capistrano Day, a Listed winner on the Flat in France and third in the 1999 Fred Darling Stakes.

Capistrano Day has also produced the Group 3-placed Sabbeeh and Listed hurdle winner Full Day, and was covered last year by Born To Sea, sire of the Classic-placed Sea Of Grace.

Capistrano Day's dam is the Grade 1 handicap winner Alcando.
