Festival success in mind as Land Rover Sale catalogue unveiled
Recent graduates include The Storyteller and Tornado Flyer
A high-class selection of 540 lots are catalogued for this year's two-day Land Rover Sale, which takes place on June 12-13.
Past graduates of the sale include Altior, Faugheen, Samcro, The Storyteller and Tornado Flyer - all of whom enjoyed festival success in recent weeks.
This year's catalogue includes some outstanding store horses from Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle families such as that of 2018 Gold Cup winner Native River, as well as siblings to Lord Windermere and Hurricane Fly.
Among the sires with progeny on offer are Balko, Doyen, Kayf Tara, Milan, Oscar, Presenting, Saddler Maker, Shantou and Stowaway, while a particular highlight among those on offer by Flemensfirth is a gelding out of a sister to eight-time Grade 1 winner Master Minded.
All horses offered for sale will be eligible for the €100,000 Goffs Land Rover Bumper, and Commander Of Fleet looks to be a very exciting prospect after his eight and a half length win in the 2018 renewal for Gigginstown House and Gordon Elliott.
Henry Beeby, Goffs chief executive, said: "Cheltenham and Punchestown are two festivals at the forefront of every National Hunt buyer's mind, and for the Land Rover to have been the leading store sale at both venues this year is testament to the ever increasing quality of horse on offer at our flagship jumps sale.
"Demand for places in this year's catalogue was unprecedented and we are grateful to our vendors for supporting the sale with such a remarkable collection of horses which has resulted in a catalogue of superior quality."
