The Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham December Sale gets under way at 4.30pm on Friday after racing, with 69 lots made up of horses in training, point-to-pointers and breeze-up horses set to go under the hammer.

Among the lots on offer are a number of winning point-to-pointers including Cool Getaway (Lot 15), who won at Tattersalls last month, Timeforben (19), who was a two-length winner at Dromahane in November, and Celebrity Status (35), a four-year-old gelding by Scorpion who won a point-to-point at Kirkistown at the end of last month.

The sale has been the source of previous Cheltenham Festival winners including Gold Cup hero Lord Windermere, Triumph Hurdle victor Tiger Roll and Arkle winner Western Warhorse.
