A share in high-flying stallion Zarak took top billing at the conclusion of Arqana's Online January Sale when claimed by Ghislain Bozo of Meridian International for €505,000.

What was being offered was a 1-50th in the Haras de Bonneval resident, entitling the owner to one cover in odd-numbered years and two during even-numbered. Zarak is standing for €80,000 this season and is the sire of top-level winners Haya Zark, Zagrey and Classic hero Metropolitan.

The sale also contained an active racehorse in Olympic Story, knocked down to Nicolas de Watrigant's Mandore International Agency for €310,000.

The Francois Nicolle-trained grey mare was being offered to dissolve a partnership and rates as a valuable proposition as a Masked Marvel-sired winner from a smart family which includes the ill-fated Kalif Du Berlais, as well as being a Grade 3 hurdle at Auteuil who has already gone very close to matching that achievement over fences. A small share in Persian King made €15,000 to France Turf International.
