Black-type mares in foal to exciting young sire Goliath Du Berlais among standouts in Auctav National Hunt Sale

Fresh from the success of their Jean-Pierre Dubois sale, Auctav has released the catalogue for next month's National Hunt sale at Haras de Bois Roussel which features a significant draft from Ecurie Saga as part of a dispersal.
Among the highlights of the consignment is the Listed Prix Finot runner-up Fee Vivianne (56B) who is carrying her first foal on an April cover to Goliath Du Berlais. Fee Vivanne is a winning daughter of Doctor Dino and out of Not Lost, an unraced Lost World full-sister to Grade 1 winner and sire Nickname and to the Grade 3 winner and sire Nom De D'La.
She is also a half-sister to Grade 1 winner N'Avoue Jamais, who is the dam of Listed winner N'Oublie Jamais and of Nickelle, a Listed winner on the Flat and over jumps who is the dam of Grade 2-winning chaser Nara.
Another of Not Lost's half-siblings is leading sire No Risk At All, as is the Listed-placed New Saga who is the granddam of Murcia, successful in the Grade 1 Anniversary Four-Year-Old Hurdle in April for Willie Mullins and Kenny Alexander. She shares her sire with Fee Vivianne.
Goliath Du Berlais is the covering sire of a number of the broodmares in the draft including Ellen Des Mottes (15B) who was runner-up in the Listed Prix Wild Monarch. The 11-year-old is a half-sister to Listed winner and Grade 3-placed Pamela Des Mottes and a Marresca Sorrento three-parts sister to multiple Graded chase winner Farlow Des Mottes.
Ellen Des Mottes has a Flintshire filly foal at foot (15C).
Grade 3-placed Vokalise (76B) has already produced a black type performer – Bolero who was third in the Listed Prix Finot – and she too is carrying a Goliath Du Berlais foal. Out of a half-sister to Alan King's Grade 1 winner Voy Por Ustedes, she will be followed in the catalogue by her Nirvana Du Berlais colt foal (76C).
Ecurie Sagara is one of 45 consignors of the 151 horses listed in the catalogue and from the others, who include Windermere Stud, Guillaume Lassaussaye and Roc Let Stud, one of the highlights comes from the draft of Haras du Hoguenet
La Spezia (44) is a five-year-old daughter of Cokoriko and successful in the Grade 3 Prix Magne. She is offered in foal to Masked Marvel with her first foal, a filly by Doctor Dino, at foot.
Her two-year-old Ectot half-brother Go One Boy (111) will also come under the hammer in the sale on September 19, from the same vendor.
The full catalogue is available to view here.
