Well-related individuals up for grabs as Osarus National Hunt Sale heads west
The Osarus 100 per cent National Hunt Sale will return to its original location in the west of France on November 2 after several years in the Paris area.
The catalogue released contains 132 lots, including 47 yearlings, 18 foals, mares in foal, horses in training and 45 stores, with the action getting underway at 1pm local time at Le Lion d’Angers racecourse.
Smart sale graduates of the past include Grade 1 winners Laurina and Punch Nantais as well as Francky du Berlais, who won the Grade 3 Summer Plate at Market Rasen this summer for the second time. Others to have emerged from the renewals are the Sefton winner Gelino Bello and Grade 1 Punchestown scorers Capodanno and Mighty Potter.
Among the yearlings are progeny of 35 sires including lot 45, a Cokoriko fily out of a half-sister to the smart Elixir d’Ainay, while two foals by Bathyrhon (48 and 49) are related to the mighty Kauto Star and another (61) by Doha Dream from the family of Gold Cup runner-up Anibale Fly
Stores include (91), a Corokoriko gelding out of a Martaline half-sister to the decorated and well-bred Kotkika and individuals related to Kitten Rock (116) and Nacarat (118).
