A filly by Siyouni stole the show late in the day when topping the second and final session of the BBAG October Yearling Sale at €160,000.

Consigned by Gestüt Ohlerweiherhof, the daughter of the Aga Khan's outstanding sire saved the best to last when she was hammered down to Renello Bloodstock near the close of play.

She is out of the Listed-placed Tertullian mare Ninas Terz and a half-sister to two winners in Star Of Wins and Fashion's Star. Further back in the page are stakes scorer Nina Celebre, the dam of Hong Kong Group 1 winner Pakistan Star, and German Oaks heroine Next Gina.

Renello Bloodstock also went to €70,000 to secure the following lot in Gestüt Ohlerweiherhof's Australia filly from the family of Prix Royal-Oak winners Sunshack and Raintrap.

On a day when Baaeed cemented his claims as an outstanding son of Sea The Stars at Ascot on Champions Day, another offspring of the leading sire came to the fore in Germany.

Offered by Gestut Karlshof and picked up by HFTB Racing Agency for €105,000, the colt is out of the winning Henrythenavigator mare Seductive, who is in turn out of Premio Lydia Tesio winner Sortilege.

The yearling hails from a top-class black-type family as his third dam is a Wertheimer-bred full-sister to German Group 1 winner Samum, German champion and Derby winner Schiaparelli and Salve Regina, as well as being a half-sibling to another stakes winner in Seventh Sky.

Another highlight of the day came from Gestut Idee's Polish Vulcano filly, who sold to Andrea Kötz for €52,000.

A full-sister to Italian St Leger winner Sir Polski, the chestnut filly named Sweet Polska is out of Sweet Montana, a multiple-winning daughter of Lando and Summer Beauty, who is in turn out of Champion Two Year Old Trophy scorer Try The Duchess.

Another potentially familiar name to British racegoers on the page is Land 'n Stars, a Newmarket Listed winner.
