September Yearling Sale to be held in Newmarket on original dates
Auction scheduled for September 21 and 22 at Park Paddocks
Tattersalls Ireland has confirmed the September Yearling Sale will return to its original scheduled dates of September 21 and 22 while remaining at Park Paddocks in Newmarket.
Part II will now be on the second day of the sale, following on immediately after Part I.
The September Yearling Sale lotting and boxing is now underway with 500 yearlings catalogued for Part I and just over 100 yearlings catalogued for Part II. All yearlings catalogued will be candidates for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes, which takes place at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend.
Simon Kerins, CEO of Tattersalls Ireland, said: "We are pleased we are able to offer certainty surrounding our dates for the September Yearling Sale and confirm the sale will return to its historic dates of the third week of September.
"The decision to relocate the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale was to provide clarity to our vendors while providing a vibrant marketplace and we believe that this option delivers the best chance of achieving that goal. However, we look forward to a strong September Yearling Sale returning to Ireland in 2022.
"The sale has exceeded expectations in recent years and is truly going from strength to strength in all aspects. The team at Tattersalls Ireland have worked hard this year to secure a better quality yearling and we look forward to releasing what looks to be one our best catalogues ever assembled."
